An extensive quality process
Ten checkpoints. A more complete picture.
FirePreplans gathers the source records and checks them against each other, then brings your team a focused set of questions. Your answers build the plans. Department input is followed by a card review, an independent challenge, technical checks, visual reconciliation and release acceptance.
A passed checkpoint applies to the recorded version and review scope. Selected-property reviews leave the remaining properties unresolved. Mapped building totals are source inventory, can overlap across department areas, and do not count completed plans. A next checkpoint identifies the work ahead; it does not mean that work has started.
- Define the review scopeAhead
Identify the department, properties and response-area assumptions covered by this review. Keep boundaries that need confirmation visible.
- Build the property foundationAhead
Assemble property, address and mapping records for the review, retaining their sources and dates. A mapped record is a starting point for a plan.
- Check the initial claimsAhead
Check that the statements in the initial review are supported by the available records. Keep missing and conflicting details unresolved.
- Prepare the department conversationAhead
Bring the selected property drafts, existing-records request and focused questions together. A limited review covers only its selected properties.
- Add your local expertiseAhead
Reconcile your department's records and answers with the prepared review, including coverage, apparatus, access and water information.
- Review the updated draftsAhead
Carry accepted department information into the drafts, review the changes and retain questions that still need an answer.
- Challenge the assumptionsAhead
Have a separate reviewer challenge the draft and examine whether evidence agrees on the same property details.
- Verify the technical detailsAhead
Check the current planning models, water assumptions and capacity, required evidence and source freshness against this draft.
- Reconcile maps and visualsAhead
Review the property visuals and maps against the draft, resolving differences in geometry, access and other represented details.
- Record release acceptanceAhead
Record authorized acceptance after all preceding checks pass for this version and scope. Release and delivery are separate recorded actions.
