FirePreplans

Priced for volunteer companies.

We price each company from its own finances. A small company pays a small price, and every company gets the same cards.

How your price is set.

Half of one percent of one year's spending.

Your setup is half of one percent of one year's spending, from your company's public IRS filing. No filing on record? We use the typical spending for a first due your size.

Each year after: $120 a year, one payment.

  • The same product at every price. Every company gets every card, every check and the monthly note.
  • No application and no paperwork. We read the public record. You fill in nothing to get a price.
  • Never per building. You do not pay by the card or by the building.

Pay in full, or in 12 monthly payments for the same total.

Year one: the setup fee

The setup fee builds every card in your first due at once. It covers the whole first year: the monthly checks and the note to the chief start right away.

  • Pay in full, or in 12 equal monthly payments: the same total. On monthly payments the full export is yours after the last payment.

Year two on: the subscription

$120 a year, one payment. The cards are already paid for; this keeps the monthly checks going.

  • Change anything at any time, like rigs, run cards, mutual aid or water times, and every card rebuilds.
  • Add and remove members.
  • Cards online on any phone, tablet or computer.

Every month, a note to the chief.

From your first month, every month, we:

  • Recheck the lists your cards come from: addresses and buildings; state licensing lists: day cares, group homes and nursing homes; schools; hydrants; flood maps; roads; neighbor departments: mergers and closures.
  • Update the cards that changed. New buildings get cards, removed ones retire, life-risk flags turn on or off, and the "as of" dates move.
  • Add owner answers. Every card has an owner code. Owners scan it and add what only they know: who lives there, pets, tanks, shutoffs, gate codes. We add their answers to the cards.
  • Rerun the checks and flag any card that needs a look.
  • Send the chief a short note: what changed, links to those cards, what needs a look, and how many cards your crew has checked so far.

The note goes out every month, even when nothing changed. Then it says what we checked.

Sample monthly note

Sample Township Fire Company, November update

We checked 9 sources for your first due on November 3.

  • 2 new addresses on Orchard Lane. Draft cards are ready for a look.
  • 1 day care closed at 14 Main St. The life-risk flag is off.
  • 1 hydrant added on Route 9. Water supply on 6 cards updated.
  • Flood map: no change. Department list: no change.

Needs a look: 3 cards. Your crew has checked 412 of 1,180 cards.

If you stop.

You keep a full export. Online cards go read only, then off.

  • You keep everything you downloaded, plus a full export on your last day: the PDF book, a spreadsheet and the map files.
  • The cards freeze at the last update: no new buildings, no list updates, no edits and no new members.
  • Your cards stay online, read only, for 90 days. Then they go off.
  • Come back within a year and you pay the subscription only. After that, part of the setup fee again, because the cards are rebuilt.
